Rocket Fuel, Lucy “The Legs” and the Secrets to Lasting Health and Fitness

Back when I was 16 there was this girl I really fancied…

Her name was Lucy but we all just called her “The Legs.”

She never looked at me, hell she probably didn’t even know I existed, after all I was a geek who liked playing Warhammer 40k, she was a Goddess of the playground.

Then I got my first car, it was a red Astra 1.8 Turbo….my God I loved that car and I devised the perfect plan to make sure Lucy noticed me.

Now back in those days speed was king, he who drove fastest was the coolest and, more importantly, got the girls, or so I reasoned.

So I searched everywhere and found a guy who could get me the highest octane fuel known to man (or at least to a goofy lad of 16) this stuff was literally rocket fuel.

I filled my baby up and that night offered Lucy a lift home. The gods were on my side and it was raining pretty hard otherwise I don’t think she’d ever have accepted, but she got in and my heart started pounding.

This is it,” I thought…“glory, the envy of every other boy in school and death by sex awaits.”

I turned the key, slipped the car into gear and stepped on the gas.

The car jumped forward like a rabbit that’s seen a hawk, came to a bone juddering stop…

…and never moved again.

The look on Lucy’s face as she climbed out of the car into the pouring rain still haunts me to this day.

So why am I telling you this?

Well I see so many people making the same mistake I made with my car in the world of health, fitness and performance:

  • They want to feel better,
  • To be a better parent, lover, boss,
  • To perform better in their favourite sport
  • Maybe they just want more out of life

So they instantly look for the hacks, the quick fixes, the sexy stuff…

Nootropics, fancy workouts, the in vogue anti ageing technique, the latest supplement or fad diet which will give them mind bending results.

What they don’t realise is that just like my car, if they don’t have the underlying engine in place, which for us means if they haven’t mastered the basic fundamentals and are doing them on a daily basis so their body is already a sports car.

If they aren’t doing this, then when they add these hacks on top, it’s like putting Rocket Fuel in a Skoda. The body literally shakes itself apart trying to handle this new found fuel.

Leading to them feeling worse in the long run and often doing damage to the body.

So what are these fundamentals?

Well it turns out the body has a hierarchy, which you certainly know about:

  • We can live most of our lives without exercise
  • We can live months (if not years) without food
  • We can live a week, maybe 2 without sleep
  • We can live days without water
  • We can live for minutes without oxygen

This hierarchy clearly defines the order of priority in which we should be focussing our effort.

Now I’m sure when you look at this you’re hit by the same realisation as I was, “if exercise and food are at the bottom of the hierarchy why the hell are we spending all our time prioritising them?”

Good question and this mis focused priority is the # 1 reason why most people do not get the results they want when it comes to their health and their body. Once you get your focus right you can quickly and with minimal effort turn your body into a finely tuned sports car, then when you do add the rocket fuel your car will go like greased lightning.

Sound too easy?

Well think of it like a river, the closer to the source you re-divert the river the easier it is to re-divert, the less effort it takes to do so and the greater effect you can have on the re diversion. It’s the same with the body, the higher up the hierarchy you go , the easier and quicker it is to redirect..it’s all about leverage.

So what’s a quick hack to start leveraging these systems higher up the hierarchy?

Just so you know I go through a lot more of these hacks in my online program here >>

The major problem I see with Oxygen (or more precisely a lack of oxygen in the cells) concerns something called stabilised HIF-1, don’t worry I’m not going to geek out on this, just suffice to know that stabilised HIF-1 is not a good thing (think obesity, cancer and other nasties) and we want to get rid of it.

An easy way to do this is to take 50mg of Flushing Niacin and 50mg of Zinc.

When the flush hits (normally 15-30 minutes after taking the niacin) lie on your stomach with your hands under your chin and breath deeply for 1-2 minutes through the nose, roll on to your side and do the same, now your other side and finally your back.

Congratulations! You’ve just expulsed a whole load of Stabilised HIF-1 from your system.

Will you feel better immediately? No chance! This one’s a slow burner, but…

If done consistently over time will this lead to you ageing slower, reduce your risk of disease and generally keep you kicking ass for longer.
