Harnessing the power of nature
On the edge of a national park, the location for our experience is Finca La Cantarera in Tarifa, southern Spain.
Finca La Cantarera has 19 acres of land, mainly left to grazing pasture. It’s a wild habitat, purposefully kept like that to attract wildlife, to allow the ecosystem to thrive and grow.
Eat when you’re hungry, rest when it gets too hot.
The reason we chose this location is that life on a small farm like this can really feel like stepping back in time; allowing you to really immerse yourself in a wilder habitat and different way of living. Life is no longer governed by running around the clock. You get up energised, ready for the outdoors, feeling the freshness of the day.
We grow our own veg, raise our own animals.
One of our deepest beliefs is that the closer we get to the food we eat the more we understand and appreciate its power. For that reason you’ll be helping us gather vegetables and milk goats (certain times of the year only!), collect our fresh duck and chicken eggs, and get involved with all those who help supply the delicious, healthy food we cook for you.
The Outdoor Life
The entire 3 days we’ll be in the fresh air. Surrounded by beautiful nature, plants, the wild habitat and the animals of the farm; we’ll encourage you to get involved in the day to day running of the farm to experience how simple life can be once you leave all the complications of modern life behind.
De-stress in nature
We’ll also encourage you to recharge and reset your mind. Still your racing brain, take time out to let your mind wander, de-stress, re-energise and grow. For people from a busy life the lack of stress this simple life offers can be mind blowing and your body and mind will certainly thank you for the calm.
Learn about yourself on the way
Do a deep dive into you, who are you now, what does the ‘future you’ look, think and feel like? Take a look at your lifestyle habits, what things you want to pick up or lose so that you make the most of your years ahead. Explore where your blind spots are and where you want to grow. Remember, life is for living!
Activities To Push Your Comfort Zone
Enjoy and have fun with well run activities to challenge your comfort zone and enable you to realise your potential and what’s possible once you’ve re-ignited your body and mind. Again these will be outdoors in nature and may include things like wild swimming, body surfing, hiking, stand up paddling and mountain biking among others.
Reflect, relax and recover
A typical day ends with some reflection. Watch the embers of the day glow away with the spectacular sunsets we experience on the Costa de la Luz, enjoying the sense of peace and calm.
Sharing good food, chat about your successes, laugh at the highlights of the day and story tell around the fire. Go to bed satisfied and content, with a quietly energised feeling; expectantly looking forward to the next day.
